Support the anti fascist protest at the Greek Embassy this Saturday 11am

Support the anti fascist protest at the Greek Embassy this Saturday 11am

Dear Friends,
11am Saturday 29 November – outside the Greek Embassy at 1A Holland Park, London W11 3TP

Greece Solidarity Campaign, Antifascist Action for Greece (AAfG), Unite Against Fascism and many other organisations are calling on all antifascists and supporters of democracy to join the counter-demonstration against British and other European fascists who are planning to protest in support for the Nazi Golden Dawn party.

The fascists’ support event comes at a time when Golden Dawn’s leaders and all of its MPs are awaiting trial for multiple crimes such as murder, attacks on immigrants and political activists, weapons offences, employing the fascist party as a cover for operating a criminal organisation, and a lengthy list of other charges outlined in a 700-page document prepared by a Greek Public Prosecutor.

The murder of antifascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas by Golden Dawn members in September 2013 sparked a mass outcry and protests in Greece and abroad which led to the prosecution of Golden Dawn’s leadership.

Golden Dawn’s murderous tactics have been tolerated by the Greek Government for a long time, but finally their trial is approaching. We call on all who oppose fascism and Golden Dawn to join the counter protest next week.

Please make every effort to attend.

Aλληλεγγύη και φιλία – solidarity and friendship
